Parents and Students

Dear RUHS Students, Parents, and Guardians:

Please keep in mind that every Redondo Union school day begins and ends with you!  Safety is paramount here at RUHS, so please assist in respecting all traffic laws when commuting to and from school AND ensuring students arrive on time to their classes.

A friendly reminder, the school day begins at 7:55am; so, students should arrive to school at least fifteen minutes prior to the TARDY BELL at 7:55am. Additionally, zero period classes begin at 6:55am.

Our teachers will continue to maintain attendance in Infinite Campus; please be sure to check the parent portal on a regular basis:

Infinite Campus Instructions:

Throughout the school year, it is recommended to avoid the morning rush by leaving for school early and having your student(s) walk, ride a bike, carpool, or take the bus. Also, avoid the busiest areas such as Sea Hawk Way (off of Diamond St). RUHS campus supervisors and administrators are located on the perimeter of campus and in parking areas, with the additional presence of RBPD on surrounding streets to assist with the ebb and flow of the morning commute.

Please also keep in mind that inclement weather (rain) causes a significant disruption to the morning drop-off; therefore, please be sure to leave even earlier on these days.

Thank you in advance for stopping at stop signs, going the speed limit, parking and unloading in designated areas, and being patient.  We appreciate your support in ensuring that student safety and punctuality/attendance remain our top priorities at RUHS!

Thank you in advance for your cooperation and support!

Sea Hawks,

We recognize that creating a safe learning environment is a critical part of helping every student achieve academic success. Sprigeo is an online system that you, the students, can use to report bullying incidents and school safety threats. All information sent through the Sprigeo system goes directly to school administrators through a secure online connection.  Sprigeo empowers all students – the bystanders and the targets – by providing a simple and anonymous way to report bullying and other safety incidents.

Here are some examples of reportable incidents/issues:

  • A student is in possession of drugs/alcohol on campus
  • A student is buying/selling drugs on campus
  • A student has threatened another student with violence/injury
  • A student has caused damage to school property
  • A student has stolen school or student property
  • A student has engaged in bullying/harassment online or in person

Go to for more information or to report online.

Finally, we appreciate our students who use Sprigeo appropriately and responsibly!
