   **CSF Fall Registration is here!** Last Day is Tuesday, November 3, 2009 end of lunchtime!
        Pre-holiday special: Planners are $5.00 each, while supplies last. Purchase in the ASB Finance Office, Room 202.      
        Calling all junior and senior girls! It’s Powder Puff time! If you want to participate in this year’s powder puff, come sign up in room 219 at snack or at lunch TODAY! There is a maximum of 20 players on each team, so grab your friends and come sign up. Wednesday, 11/4, is the LAST day to sign-up. In order to play, you MUST have a recent physical on file with the school. Questions? Come to room 219. Don’t miss out on the fun!
        All Club President's who are participating in the Crush Costa Carnival, please come to a meeting tomorrow, Tuesday 11/3, at lunch in room 219. The Crush Costa Carnival is being FINALIZED. If you want to participate in this all school fundraiser, you MUST attend the meeting. It will be short.
           
If you are selling Christmas trees, remember, all orders are due by next Tuesday, November 10th, to room 202, the ASB Finance office.
           
        ROADSHOW participants: Make sure you and your group are preparing for the Roadshow next Friday. ASB needs the names of each participant for your group ASAP for field trip attendance. Come to room 219 to give those names. The final meeting will be this THURSDAY, November 5th in room 219 during lunch. We will finalize all participants, no exceptions.
 
        Next week is Spirit Week in preparation for the Costa vs Redondo game!
           
            Monday, it's Fashion Disaster! 
            Tuesday, is Costa Nerd Day. 
            Wednesday, we have no school.
            Thursday, is R-day. Represent something that starts with an "R"! 
            Friday, wear your class colors to the game at Costa. Kick-off is at 7pm. Let's show some spirit and support our team!
 
        Seniors who have not had their portrait taken for the yearbook will have their last chance on Tuesday, from 10-1 p.m. in room 203.
        Library closed the week of 11-02-09 to 11-06-09 for the Dia de los Muertos Display.
       If you ordered and paid for pictures during registration or at the make-up day, please pick up your photo package in room 202 during lunch. Please come get these pictures soon!
       All RUHS students are required to have their ID card when they are on campus. If you do not have an ID card, please come to room 202 @ lunch each Tuesday. If you lost your ID card please come to room 202 before school, snack, lunch or after school. Cost is $10; no charge for first ID card to students entering RUHS after 9/28/09.
 
 
CAREER CENTER – Center visiting times: before after school, snack lunch. The Center is closed during class periods.
 
SENIOR INFORMATION MEETINGS:
 
Weekly Senior Information Meetings are held Wednesdays during lunch to provide seniors with the most current information about colleges and scholarships and answer your questions.
 
 
 
College Application Info:
        CSU applications accepted October 1-November 30. Go to www.csumentor.edu to apply. UC applications accepted November 1-November 30 (application now available for preparation). Go to www.universityofcalifornia.edu to apply. USC applications due by December 1 for scholarship consideration. California Lutheran University applications due by November 15 to meet the non-binding early action deadline. Check with other colleges to which you apply for their deadlines and requirements. Have a counselor, parent, or other responsible adult review your application before submitting.
        Last dates for seniors to take ACT and SAT for college applications are the December 2009 test dates. Late deadline to register for ACT is November 6 late deadline to register for SAT is November 12.
 
Scholarship/Financial Aid Info:
        Scholarship Information Sheet template available at www.redondounion.org.
        The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is required by colleges for financial aid consideration. Each student and one of the student’s parents should apply.

        Asian Pacific Youth Leadership Project Annual Leadership Conference for current 11th and 12th grade students. Deadline to apply is Monday, November 9. Conference will take place in Sacramento on March 25-28, 2010. Applications are available at www.apylp.org.
        U.S. Service Academy nominations for 2010 entering class are due by November 30.
        Military recruiters are available to speak with interested students on Tuesdays during lunch in the College Career Center.
